Graphic Design and Visual Communications are topic areas I have developed a strong interest in over the past few years. Layout out drawings, images, and text for final production has always been one of my favorite phases of the design process, and I've also enjoyed putting together a new portfolio and professional package each year. It's such a fun challenge to explore how fonts and color can tell a story. This year, I developed a hand written "New Orleans Restaurant Guide" for a friend, and I also serve as the Co-Marketing Chair for Crawfest, an annual tradition on campus that needed a fresh, new look.
spring 2015 portfolio package
The professional package includes a portfolio, business card, resume, and small handouts on a couple of non-architecture activities. I created this package to serve as a coherent and compelling document to showcase skills in visual communications.
new orleans city guide
I created this handwritten city guide for a friend that was visiting New Orleans over the summer. The guide is organized by four days, four different neighborhoods, and by time of day. The chart on the right also includes information on which locations are cash only, good for kids, and have vegetarian options.
Crawfest (coming soon)
I am working with Nathan Leonard to develop a compelling branding strategy for Crawfest, an annual Tulane tradition where 20,000 pounds of Crawfish are served to 12,000 visitors and also features three music stages. The package will include a sticker and logo, as well as a lineup poster and "swag" items for all the guests to commemorate the event.
